Rebecca (Beckie) is a 23-year-old girl that has been living with Trichotillomania for more than half her life.
Trichotillomania, also known as trichotillosis or hair pulling disorder, is an impulse control disorder characterized by the compulsive urge to pull out one’s hair, leading to hair loss and balding, distress, and social or functional impairment, as per Wikipedia.
In her vblog, she documents everything that goes on her life. In this video, you will see Beckie shaving her head, and she is terrified to do so, but not for the reasons you may think of.
It’s almost impossible for anyone without this disorder to understand the complexity of her decision, and so it’s easy to criticize.
